    This course interfaces a biblical-theological ethic with common pastoral and practical questions of a moral nature. A biblical framework for ethical decision making is laid out. Students will practice bringing biblical normativity to bear on ethical quandaries and problems, learn to analyze and evaluate common unbiblical postures and poses with respect to critical ethical issues, will appreciate the relevance of the holiness of God, the normativity of the Word, and the Decalogue as it relates to many ethical issues, will see the immense value of a Reformation (that is, biblical) worldview over against a Humanist worldview.     The aims of this course are to assist the student in understanding the concepts and principles of ethical theories and how they cohere with their theoretical assumptions. The student will also understand the concepts and principles of Christian ethics and their relationship to Biblical revelation and our Weltanschauung. We will apply the concepts and principles of ethical theories to contemporary problems. Finally, the course will close with an evaluation of the ethical systems by both internal and external criteria. (16 lectures)

    An introduction to the concepts and principles of apologetic theories and how they cohere with their theoretical assumptions, with emphasis on understanding a biblical apologetic and its relationship to special revelation and the Christian world view. The student will learn how to apply the concepts of apologetics to contemporary attacks on the Christian faith and how to evaluate systems of apologetics by both internal and external criteria.
